Jason started racing bikes in college in 2001 while studying Cell Biology and Physiology at UW-Whitewater. His area of study and passion for cycling culminated in an undergraduate thesis dealing with genetics and cyclists. After college Jason began racing more seriously and coaching cyclists. Realizing these were his passions in life he made the decision to pursue a Masters in Exercise Physiology in order to better help endurance athletes reach their full performance potential. A conversation with USA Cycling’s Director of Education lead Jason to Eastern Michigan University where he studied under Associate Professor and USA Cycling Faculty Stephen McGregor. At EMU Jason formulated much of his coaching philosophy while also conducting research on endurance athletes. Currently, Jason is a level II USA Cycling coach, an elite level competitive cyclist, and owner of Boynton Coaching, LLC.
Dr. Goldberg is an Emergency Medicine Physician in Milwaukee, WI. He is the director for Emergency Medicine resident education at St Lukes Medical Center. He is the team physician for IS Corp Cycling as well the My Wife Inc Cyclocross Team. His interests include management of acute injuries as well as cyclocross injuries. David has spent most of the last 25 years in the bike industry. In that time he has worked in bicycle shops as far away as Australia, and Hawaii. In Madison, Wisconsin, he has been a visible part of the cycling community through racing, training, and organizing events like The Brazen Dropouts’ Bike Swap. In 2000 David joined Colin O’Brien as a partner in Colin’s successful shop Cronometro, anchoring the mechanical side of the business and increasing the robustness of the bike fittings. With a growing interest in the biomechanical impact of proper bike fit for the body, David left Cronometro in 2004 to pursue a degree in biomechanics with an emphasis on the relationship between knee pain and cycling. Currently he provides fitting services through his own company Perfect Circle Cycling LLC and serves as a consultant and contractor to cycling industry partners. David has also worked as a race mechanic for the Phonak Cycling Team, Cervelo Test Team, Planet Bike Cyclocross Team, and The Baraboo Sharks Junior Development Team.
Lisa Krayer, RD, CD received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Dietetics at the University of Wisconsin Madison. She has been a dietitian for the past 15 years and has experience in both sports nutrition and clinical dietetics. Lisa holds the Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management through the Commission on Dietetic Registration and is currently working on becoming a Certified Health Coach. She has been a competitive cyclist for the past 14 years and lives in Denzer, WI with her husband and two daughters. Lisa currently races MTB for Adventure 212/Specialized MTB team.
Since 2005 Chris Kreidl has been working as a race mechanic at events across the United States as well as Canada and Europe. He began with SRAM Neutral Race Support helping at races like Superweek in Wisconsin and the Tour of Leelanau in Upper Michigan before coming on more or less full time and traveling farther to higher profile events.
In 2011 Chris began working as interim mechanic at Team TIBCO, a UCI Women’s Professional Team. With Team TIBCO he was quickly able to apply the skills he learned doing neutral support to the team-oriented environment. The team asked Chris to return as head mechanic in 2012 and he helped them to achieve an overall victory at the Redlands Classic as well as the US Road Race national championships.
Team SmartStop p/b Mountain Khakis is Chris’s home for the 2013 season where he is also filling the role of head mechanic. When he is not helping his riders, Chris enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and dreaming about making the time to do more fly fishing.
Brian is a professional cyclist who is currently living in Sheboygan, WI. He has been racing professionally in the disciplines of mountain bike and cyclocross since 1999. Brian was born in Boston, Mass and was raised in Pinckney, MI where he discovered his love for racing bikes. In 1999 he moved to Tucson, AZ to chase his dreams of becoming a pro. In 2003 he moved to Sheboygan and started racing for the PCW Cycling Team. He currently races for the RACC/Geargrinder team and works for Momentum Endurance as a USA Cycling Level 3 certified coach.
Brian’s achievements in the Midwest mountain bike and cyclocross races are plenty. Most notably Brian was a member of the 2009 USA World Championship Elite Cyclocross Team where he raced in Hoogerheide, Netherlands and as a member of the USA World Championships Jr. MTB Team in 1996 where he raced in Cairns, Australia. Brian has been chosen to represent the US at the EuroCross Camp in 2008 & 2009 and has raced in many MTB and Cyclocross World Cups. On home turf Brian has won most of the MTB races in the Midwest and continues to train and race strong after 20 + years of racing bikes.
Gordy Paulson is a USA Cycling Level 1 certified coach and a Category 1 road and cyclocross competitor. He is an accomplished Master road racer with top ten international competition finishes, numerous series championships, State Championships and multiple National Championships to his name. Gordy has served as the Central Section Trustee on the United States Cycling Federation Board of Trustees of USA Cycling and past President of the Wisconsin Cycling Association. He is also the Lead Coach for the USAC Northwest Regional Talent Development Camp. He is a co-owner of Speed Cycling in Fitchburg, Wisconsin.
